Chicken Ranch Tribal Administration Building
Jamestown, CA
OWNER
The Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians of California
Situated within the developing Tribal complex, this three-story, steel-framed government building establishes a formal gateway to tribal services and collaboration. Its second-level entry serves visitors to Tribal Government Services, while a shared landscaped courtyard creates a sense of community and shared purpose. Inspired by local landscape and cultural traditions, the design features earthy tones and sleek lines that evoke the surrounding Table Mountain terrain, and the prominent curtain-wall glass elegantly echoes the tribe’s feather motif.
The building consolidates essential departments—such as finance, human resources, IT, marketing, environmental planning, gaming and casino administration—under one roof and also offers a spacious boardroom and adaptable meeting spaces overlooking the central plaza, creating an inviting backdrop for both formal deliberations and daily collaboration.
